Antelopes - Information About Science

Gazelle - Antelopes - Information About Science (http://infoaboutscience.blogspot.com)

Antelopes r the mammal with the hoove & the hollow-horns. There r the about hundred (100) kinds (species) of the antelopes. It lives in the Africa & the Asia. Antelope's range in-size from tiny-royal antelope which standz about ten inches (10 inches/25 cm), to giant eland which's weight is as much as a car.
Most of the antelope lives in the herds. Some lives in the forest & other lives on the open plainz. They nibbles on the plants 4 food. Some grazes on the grass. Other eats leave & fruits from the bushes & the trees.
Almost all the antelopes r shy. They rely on the speed 4  the safety. When ever it spots danger it run-away. Many antelope uses its speed & jumping ability 2 avoid the hungry predator like lions & the hyenas.

Amphibians - Information About Science

Amphibians - Information About Science (http://infoaboutscience.blogspot.com)

Amphibians r vry intersting creature. It lives kind of the double-life. It spends the first part of life in the water & the second-part on the land. In-fact the word "amphibian" comes from 2 Greek wordz dat means both & lives.

KINDS OF THE AMPHIBIANS:

The amphibians r the animals dat has hairless skin & moist. Amphibian is cold blooded creature which mean it can't make own body-heat. It get warms in the sun & cool-off in shades. The 3 main group of amphibian r frogs & toads, salamanders & the caecilians. All the amphibians have the backbones.

AN AMPHIBIAN’S LIFE:
Amphibian dat lives in cold-place & spent most of its time try to-keep warm & wet. In hot place it try 2 keep cool & wet & usualy comes out at the night. During time of the day It stays under the rock, log or in ground.
Amphibian hibernates (becomes-inactive) during the cold-winter. It becomes inactive in the hot place during the summer.

Al-most all the growing up amphibianz r meat-eater. Frogz & salamanderz have the sticky tongue. They often flick-out their tonguez 2 catch the spiders, insects & the other animalz. Caecilian has the sharp teeth 4 grab their prey.

Amphibian mates when ever it is rainy-outside. It gathers in the groups to find-mate.

WHERE AMPHIBIANS LIVE?

Amphibian lives every-where except the Antarctica. They could be founded in the rain forests, grasslands, ever-green forests, deserts & the mountain areas. Caecilian lives only in tropic areas.

Alligator and Crocodile - Information About Science

Alligator

Crocodile - Information About Science (http://infoaboutscience.blogspot.com)

Crocodile

What's the difernce b/w an alligator & a crocodile? That is kind of trick question. Crocodile is common name 4 an order or large group of animls call crocodilians. Alligatrs , caimans & gavials r all crocodilian.

HOW ARE THEY DIFFERENT TO EACH OTHER?

1 way 2 tel the diference b/w alligator & crocodile is by looking to their snout. Aligators & their cloze relatives, the caimans, have broads, rounded snout. Crocodile has longer & sharpr snouts dat r shaped likes triangle.
Crocodile has a tooth on each sides of their lower jaws dat stick up when its mouth iz closed. Aligator does not showa any teetha when their mouth is closed.
The Indo - Pacific or salt-water crocodil iz 1 of the bigest reptile. It iz about 24 feet (seven meters) long & weight iz more then 2000 pound (more then 1000 kilogram).
Crocodile lives in warm & tropicl places. Aligators can live in cool place as well as the warm environment.

HOW ARE THEY THE SAME (ALLIGATORS & CROCODILES)?

All crocodiles r reptiles. They r cold bloodeds. This mean they warm up with the method of lying in front of the sun. They are cool off when staying in shades.
Crocodile breathes through its lung. It spent most of its time in the water and must come often to the surface of water to breathe.

HUNTING AND EATING(OF ALLIGATORS & CROCODILES):

Aligator & crocodile floats with their body almost totaly under the water. Only theirs nostril, eyes & parts of their back sticks out. They look scaries as they often silently stalks their prey (animalz they hunt & eat).
Aligators & crocodiles have long and powerful tailz. They sometime swat preys with their tailz. They also uses their tailz 2 push prey in2 deeper-water where it's easier 2 attack.
They eats fishes, snakes, frogs,  birds, turtles & mammals. Crocodile sometime attack on the humans.

WHERE ALLIGATORS LIVES?

There are 2 kinds of alligators: the Americans aligators & the Chinese alligatorz. The Americans aligators live mainly in the swamps, lakes & bayous in south eastern United States. The Chinese aligators live along the Yangtze River in the China.
American aligator often attacks on peoples but Chinese alligator almost never attacks on peoples.
During the cold winter, aligators bury them-selves in the mud of clay. There they can hibernate their-selves  until the spring.

WHERE CROCODILES LIVE?

Four species (kinds) of crocodile lives in the America. These crocodiles r found in the Southern Florida , Cuba, Caribbean Islands, southern Mexico city, Central America & the northern South America.
The Indo - Pacific crocodiles live along seacoast of India, Malaysia, Southern China & Australia. The swamp crocodile iz found in the lake & river of India country. The Nile crocodiles are live in the parts of Africa.

LIFE CYCLE

Female crocodiles lay eggs from "20" to "90" eggs. They lay the eggs in the nests made of the mud, sand and rotting plant's parts. Baby crocodiles hatches from the eggz.
Most female crocodile watches over its young. Aligator's mother may help her babies for breaking out of the eggs. They sometime carries the new-born aligator in its mouth. It puts the baby into water. Some motherz stay near to their young bebies for at least one year. If the younger aligators get in trouble then their mother is near to help.
No 1 is realy sure how long aligators & crocodilles live. Scientist estimate dat smaler specie (kind) can lives from "30" to "50" years. While the larger crocodiles specie (kind) can lives to be "70" or even "80" years.

Aardvark - Information About Science

Aardvark is mammal wid long snout dat lives in
Africa. When it use its sharp claws,
aardvarks dig in2 anthills & termite mounds.
After then they lick up the ant
& termite wid their sticky tongues.
